Ever find yourself in a quandary over where to place those beautiful flowers you just brought home from Norton’s Florist or otherwise received from us? Don’t worry, we’re here to help.
Once you’re done swooning over your fresh new blooms, you’ll want to find a home for them in yours. There are a few things you’ll want to consider before doing so. Read on to find out how easy it is to place flowers in your space.
First, assess the scale of your floral arrangement. Is it tall and dramatic, like a gathering of gladiolus? Is it fluffy and wild-looking? Small and compact? Size does matter when it comes to placing floral designs in your home. Larger- scale pieces fare well in an airier, bigger space like a living room. A tall, striking design can have a great impact in a living room on an accent table or posed in a foyer. Then, consider what type of flowers you have. Are they mixed, or does the arrangement center on one type of flower? Do those flowers have special care needs? Are they highly-fragranced? If so, best to leave them out of a room where you dine. Finally, is your arrangement formal, informal or somewhere in between? We’d say the latter for our Sunflowers and More, which is why we’d love to see it on a kitchen table or decorating a relaxed communal space.
Have fun styling your home with flowers. Ask a few crucial questions and you’ll be on your way to placing those beauties in the perfect spot.
